CM: Milan’s stance revealed as €40m Spain winger pushes for Milan return

By Oliver Fisher -

Watford winger Gerard Deulofeu is reportedly pushing for a return to AC Milan in the future however there are obstacles regarding his valuation.

The Spaniard made 18 appearances for the Rossoneri after joining on loan from Everton in January of 2017, scoring four goals and adding three assists in the process, and has been linked with a return to the club since.

His agent Albert Botines recently opened the door for a potential return to Milan for his client by insisting he is ‘very tied’ to the club.

According to a report from Calciomercato.com, Deulofeu has tried to return to Milan three times and remains very attached to the Rossoneri colours and to the fans. His love for the club is even described as an ‘obsession’ by ‘those around him’.

The report adds that he still wants a move to Milan and could even ask Watford for a transfer to help push that through, however Paolo Maldini and Zvonomir Boban are yet to open talks and a €40m asking price has been set.

Watford are currently in a relegation battle in the Premier League too, something which the 25-year-old will be deemed key for, while the Hornets are also unlikely to accept any kind of loan formula.

As a result, the distance between the player’s desire and the negotiations being closed is ‘likely to remain’.
