CM: Milan’s treatment room almost empty as defender should return for Genoa game

Another injury boost has arrived for AC Milan as it appears that captain Alessio Romagnoli is close to a return, according to a report.

Romagnoli has been out for some time with a calf problem that kept him out of some important games, and while both Fikayo Tomori and Simon Kjaer have done well in their absence it is always crucial to have good depth towards the end of the season.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, Romagnoli has now overcome the calf problem that made him unavailable for the last few weeks. The report adds how the Rossoneri No.13 should return to Pioli’s disposal for Sunday’s match against Genoa at San Siro.

That means therefore that only Davide Calabria is currently still out through injury and he is expected back sooner than initially thought following the minor knee surgery he had late last month. Daniel Maldini is also still out with a muscle problem, but his minutes have been limited this season anyway.
