Theo Hernandez feels at home at AC Milan, so much so that he rejected Newcastle United’s attempts to lure him to the Premier League over the summer.
Calciomercato.com report that Theo is happy at Milan and he feels the responsibility of having to set an example for the new signings too. He has achieved the rank of vice-captain thanks to his strong character qualities and his loyalty to the Rossoneri, also shown in the summer.
Theo Hernandez wants to make up for the Champions League semi-finals where he didn’t perform at his usual levels in either leg, and this burning desire was one of the reasons that led the French international not to listen to the flattery of Newcastle.
The Magpies wanted to sign the Frenchman after they got Sandro Tonali by putting on the table a salary twice as high as the current €4.5m net per season he earns. For Milan, Theo remains an essential player who is worth €100m+.
Whaaat? Don’t the “fans” here always say that players will be leaving Milan in a heartbeat to get twice as much money? Because “everyone would do so” and always remember to add “like you wouldn’t switch jobs if you were offered 2x salary elsewhere” as if everything was that black & white. 😀 😀 😀
And also… “No Maldini, No Theo/Leao/MM16/(insert any name here)” 😀 😀 😀
So, maybe it’s not a heartbeat. But we’re going to find out soon enough, as next summer he’ll have 2 years left on his contract it it will be that point in which a player either renews, is sold for max value, or begins the arduous period of trying to negotiate while free agency creeps ever closer. Theo had nothing to lose by rejecting Newcastle’s offer this summer, as he had no leverage and Newcastle, while having more resources than Milan, didn’t necessarily offer a higher profile project. My guess is he will wait to see what Milan will offer him, and if it’s not good enough will go to a top-tier club. What the club achieves this season will play a part too. All that said, I hope he stays for a while yet.
So the reason he rejected them is because he wanted to make up for his performances in the UCL semis? How does that make any sense? Man I need to get my own website so I can write anything. Not saying this isn’t possible but it seems like a stretch
Its cm “news” lets take how it is.. made up
Theo wasn’t the only one – they all got steamrolled in the semis – but can’t see that happening again tomorrow (despite dismantling a scudetto winning team with a flurry of unnecessary signings 😵💫).
Sports journalism is all rumours and in most cases lies, unless they are reporting about statistics, which again they twist the narrative to create a headline, their job is to keep the billions of fans hooked, ethically journalism is one of the worst professions
Theo Hernandez is not for sale at all cost
