AC Milan appear to be closing in on the sale of Fode Ballo-Toure after two seasons with the club and he should head back to France, a report claims.
According to Calciomercato.com, Ballo-Toure will leave the Rossoneri and it is not just the club’s decision either, because the Senegal international wants to go and play more rather than remaining a deputy.
Bologna have shown some interest but only through a loan with option to buy deal structure, a formula that is not particularly appreciated by the Rossoneri who are aiming to make money immediately.
Contacts between Milan and OGC Nice have intensified over Ballo-Tourè in the last few hours. The Ligue 1 club have promised to submit an offer in the next few hours, and they are aware that CEO Giorgio Furlani’s request is €4m.
What filters from Milan is that they are confident that the negotiation can be closed positively.
That could be good news. Fode played so little minutes and 4million is important compare to how difficult negotiations in bringing new players. On Theos position can play Florenzi and who knows how Saelemaekers would fit in that position ?

But if the idea of the new ownership is to sell a top player every now and then, they should bring in a talent so if they sell Theo replacement is already there and ready.
There were several replacements named. The fact is we need better backups when we have a crowded schedule. Also with injuries and such. Ballo-Toure isn’t cutting it.
