The future surrounding AC Milan midfielder Lucas Paqueta remains a mystery, a report claims, amid speculation regarding interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
Paqueta has not started a game in all competitions for Milan since November 23rd’s 1-1 draw against Napoli at San Siro, with his role since then having been limited mostly to cameos from the substitutes bench.
In addition, head coach Stefano Pioli’s switch to a 4-4-2 formation in recent weeks has thrown the Brazil international’s role into further doubt, as he is neither a natural anchor midfielder nor a wide midfielder.
According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, PSG sporting director Leonardo is still interested in uniting with his compatriot once again in the French capital, having been instrumental in bringing him to Milan from Flamengo last January.
However, Leonardo is only willing to offer €20million, while Paolo Maldini and Zvonomir Boban are ready to play hard ball by asking for their full €38m investment back should the 22-year-old be allowed to leave this month.
