AC Milan will soon have to name their squad for the knockout stages of the Champions League and it could spell bad news for Fode Ballo-Toure, a report claims.
As reported by Calciomercato.com, doubts have emerged regarding the UEFA squad list that Pioli will have to draw up in a few weeks ahead of the Champions League last 16 two-legged tie against Premier League side Spurs.
With the return of Davide Calabria and Sergino Dest from their respective injuries, the Rossoneri coach could decide to exclude Ballo-Touré from the list of players eligible. Pioli believed both Dest and Calabria can also be used on the left to replace Theo Hernandez if necessary.
Excluding the Senegalese full-back would free up a spot that could be taken by a new signing such as Yacine Adli, Aster Vranckx or Malick Thiaw, who were all left out of the squad named a few months ago.
