CM: PSG defender performs U-turn on stance regarding new deal – Milan move could be on

By Oliver Fisher -

Thiago Silva is now less inclined to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain which could leave the path clear for a return to Milan.

We recently revealed via Vito Angele that Milan are considering the idea of reuniting Thiago Silva with Zlatan Ibrahimovic for next season, eight years after they departed Milano for the French capital.

The Brazilian defender has a contract expiring on 30 June with PSG, and while the player has repeatedly expressed his willingness to continue playing in the French capital in various interviews, a renewal does not seem imminent.

Now, Calciomercato.com have confirmed that there are problems regarding the renewal of the 35-year-old defender. The Brazilian is becoming increasingly convinced that leaving the French club is the best option, and while name has been linked to Milan in recent weeks there are no ongoing negotiations at present.

In order to secure a return, Thiago would have to reduce his salary by at least 65%, the report concludes.
