Christian Pulisic #10 of United States

CM: Pulisic to Milan a done deal as Chelsea accept bid worth €20m

AC Milan and Chelsea have reached an agreement over Christian Pulisic and the move will soon be completed, according to a report.

According to Calciomercato.com, the bid that has been accepted is worth €20m including bonuses. The documentation relating to the transfer remains to be prepared, but the details have all been agreed and Pulisic will be summer signing number four.

Aside from the cost of the operation, the impact of the player’s desire to wear the Milan shirt should be underlined, given that a higher offer from Olympique Lyonnais was rejected a few days ago.

A four-year contract is ready for the former Borussia Dortmund star, with just a bureaucratic process to be completed which will be followed by his medical and the signing of his contract. The hope is that all of this gets done in time for the start of the preseason camp at Milanello on Monday 10 July.

Last season, Pulisic only got one goal and two assists in what was a turbulent season for the Blues, but he had a positive World Cup with the USA national team in Qatar.

Now Milan – who are also negotiating for his compatriot Musah – will rely on ‘Captain America’ to help the new No.10 Rafa Leaoin an attacking department more oriented to dribbling than ever.

  1. In my opinion it is a very good deal. If he can stay fit then he will be a valuable asset but idk what position he will play for us.

  2. Coming up later today on CalcioMercato:

    – Milan and Chelsea 5m apart in valuations
    – Chelsea demand at least 25m for Pulisic
    – Pulisic expected for a medical on Saturday
    – Pulisic subject of interest from Monaco and Aston Villa
    – Milan offer 16m plus bonuses

  3. Decent player but not great and injury prone… basically Milan paid 45-50 mil for Loftus and Pulisic and they sold Tonali to founded it, maybe is just my opinion but I don’t see this as an improvement

      1. To be fair, 20 is the fee to Chelsea but it doesn’t factor in a lot of the other costs that are incurred by transfers, such as agent payments. Wouldn’t surprise me if the true costs were 5m higher than the official fee.

    1. Its an improvement…obvious. Cause RLC and Pulisic can do much more than just Tonali alone in the field. Despite of anything, two is better than one…

    2. It’s a massive improvement. A fit Loftus-Cheek is already better than Tonali, et alone Pulisic and maybe also guys like Reijnders and Chukwueze.

        1. He played last season as double pivot, somehow transfermarkt recorded it as CM though. There are match data of AZ at transfermarkt, just open them and you will see in the formation that he was part of double pivot almost the whole season.

          1. He might have played in double pivot next to a proper defensive midfielder, but he is not good defensively.
His defensive metrics are below average .
There is a reason Milan is trying to sign both him and Musah

    1. I mean, Inter won the title with Christian Eriksen, Ashley Young, Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez in their team.

We won the title with Giroud and Tomori as a key players.

Just because someone doesn’t work in the richest EPL teams doesn’t mean they can’t be good, useful players.

Pulisic is a very talented 24 year old with a worrying injury record. If this comes off, fingers crossed he rediscovers his best form.

    2. I just love the constant use of “flop” to describe players who play for clubs that spend 200m every year to buy new players. They’re not flops because their clubs can replace them for fun. You also have players that just don’t mesh well. Maigan was a PSG “flop”, Giroud was a Chelsea “flop”, Pirlo was an Inter “flop”, Seedorf was an Inter “flop”, etc.

    1. Facts. If Pulisic arrives and we get another couple of players, we’re already better than we were last season.

    2. This mercato gives us depth – something we didn’t have last season. They have shown a lot more intent this summer than before. I do want to see them offload dead weight though.

Curious what they decide about CDK though.

    3. Ya you dip$hit – they are all Maldini targets LOLOLOLOLOLO!!!!!!!

What a moron you are you racist piece of trailer trash

  4. Good. So we bagged an upgrade over CKD and current right wingers. Also can act as a backup for Leao instead of Rebic who Pioli wants out.

So… Not bad. Not bad at all but we need more. And better.

    1. Actually it’s the opposite.
With the signing of Pulisic, a right footed winger/attacking midfielder, there is no need of Kamada anymore who is the similar profile of a player.
Milan needs a left footed winger who can play on the right. A position that has been neglected for 4 years

  5. Yes I do like Loftus cheek ,but I am concerned about his fitness ….if he can stay fit ? Yes that’s a big question….He definitely has ability and the physical capabilities…He is tall strong fast and very skillful ..
Not sure exactly what position he would play hopefully midfield …He would certainly be a great provider of goals for Olivier Giroud…Also if pulisic arrives then surely we can challenge for honours again ….so all in all things are looking promising..
Yes we also have Rafeol leao …so Olivier Giroud will relish this season ..
Yes I keep mentioning Olivier Giroud…Why not he can and will score goals against any team in the world for club and country ( France ) …
Also we have a great manager in pioli ..
So my confidence is high ..it’s AC Milan for me ..
    Keep positive fans ..

  6. Are we not moving to a midfield 3? 4-3-3?

Then where will Pulsic play IF we also sign the Nigerian Chukwueze who is a RW? Neither would be purchased to sit the bench.

Pulsic is not a mid in a 4-3-3. He’s either a RW/LW or a ACM behind the forwards. So does this mean the pursuit of Chukwueze is over? Kamada back in the picture (who can play ACM or deeper in the mid)???

RLC is also not a DM nor is Reijnders according to all the data.

Interesting. IF – and it’s a big IF – he stays HEALTHY (similar to RLC) it would be a good signing.

Wait – weren’t Pulsic and RLC the same players Maldini was after????? LOLOLOLOLOLO. Hell Maldini negotiated the RLC deal but Georgio managed to increase the transfer fee lol. Fkn donkey Redbird lovers man it’s hilarious how dumb they truly are
