AC Milan are entering a vital few days regarding the future of star goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, with a renewal still not agreed.

There has been an abundance of speculation in the media regarding what the future holds for Donnarumma as his deal expires in 2021, meaning the club must try reach an agreement over an extension before the season resumes or sell to avoid the risk of losing him for free.

According to Calciomercato.com, the club’s priority is to find an agreement for over a new deal and the player’s will, at present, is to stay in Milan.

In recent days Mino Raiola has been in Milan for some market meetings but at the moment he has not received a call from Milan regarding Donnarumma or Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Elliott Management Corporation have given the go-ahead to CEO Ivan Gazidis to enter negotiations but they will be postponed until next week.

Milan know that the negotiation with Raiola will not be easy and it will take time to reach an agreement.

There are many issues to be addressed too such as salary, the possible inclusion of a release clause and the duration of the contract.
