Fiorentina are confident about securing the renewal of defender Nikola Milenkovic, a report claims, but Milan and Inter are waiting.
Milan were linked with a lot of defensive targets during the summer like Celtic’s Kristoffer Ajer and Saint-Etienne’s Wesley Fofana, plus Schalke’s Ozan Kabak, Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger and Strasbourg’s Mohamed Simakan on deadline day, but no defender arrived.
The name that was most frequently linked over the window though was Nikola Milenkovic, but it became apparently that La Viola had set an asking price well above what Milan were willing to pay.
Now, Calciomercato.com are reporting that Milenkovic’s agent Fali Ramadani will meet with Fiorentina soon to try and extend his client’s current deal which will expire on June 30, 2022.
If there is no agreement however, the player will be sold as early as January, so that La Viola can at least recoup some transfer fee and not run the risk of losing a prized asset at a low price. Milan and Inter, the report adds, are at the window.
