CM: Real Madrid will have favourable clause as Milan close in on Diaz deal

By Isak Möller -

Brahim Diaz was impressive towards the end of this past season, providing some important goals and assists for Milan. He’s expected to remain at the club for at least one more season, a report claims.

Contrary to what previous reports have suggested, Diaz wasn’t included in Spain’s squad for the Olympics this summer. This is only positive for Milan, as reported by Calciomercato.com, as they can accelerate the talks with Real Madrid.

The parties are very close to an agreement on the basis of a loan with an option to buy at €25-30m. There will also be a buy-back clause in favour of the Bernabeu side, which will be set at a few million higher than the buy-out fee.

More updates on the matter are expected before the start of the pre-season on July 8th, meaning Milan could soon close the deal for Diaz. Given that Calhanoglu has left, it’s a big boost to keep the Spaniard in the team.

  1. Juve borrowed Morata with a 20m option and sold him back to Real for the 40m buy-back clause. Why can’t we do the same? Just a few millions higher seems like a joke.
