AC Milan could soon receive an offer from La Liga side Real Sociedad for Charles De Ketelaere which could be viewed as good news by the Rossoneri, a report claims.
As has been reported by Calciomercato.com, Real Sociedad are in need of an attacking midfielder after a knee injury to David Silva caused him to call time on his playing career.
A few names have been linked, but now De Ketelaere seems to be a very serious target. The Spanish side have got the financial muscle to make a deal work, as Milan are currently asking for €28 million.
There is also the chance of a loan with an obligation to buy for a slightly lower fee. There were mixed reports during the summer about whether De Ketelaere will be sold or not, but after so many arrivals, selling him makes a lot more sense now.
This would mean selling the last major signing of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara’s time at Milan.
I still think this kid is going to become a top player. He uprooted his entire life, leaving his childhood club and not only moving out of his parents’ house for the first time but also to an entirely new country, language and culture. The league is different, the club and its mentality are different, he’s no longer working with coaches he’s known for years. Growing pains should be obvious and expected, and given patience.
