CM: Renato Sanches waits for news at Lille’s preseason camp as PSG stall – the situation

By Oliver Fisher -

The uncertainty surrounding the future of Lille midfielder Renato Sanches should soon be lifted, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com report how Sanches has left with Lille for their preseason training camp under the orders of new head coach Paulo Fonseca while waiting for market developments.

PSG have made a bid worth €10m, while the Rossoneri have offered €10m plus €5m in bonuses. Lille would prefer to collect more despite the fact Sanches’ deal runs out in June 2023 but above all they would rather sell to Milan than strengthen a rival in France.

Sanches for his part has often changed his mind in recent weeks and although he is very close to PSG’s sporting director Luis Campos, not everyone at the Ligue 1 champions are convinced to close the deal because there are still many unwanted players that must be sold on the market.

Sanches is waiting confidently, but time is starting to run out. This is a situation that would favour Milan, but they must find an agreement on terms with agent Jorge Mendes.

    1. It’s not about not wanting to play for Milan or preferring PSG. It’s about money.
I think Jorge Mendes and Lille are using PSG “interest” to get more money for Sanches.
Psg has Sanches ex director and ex coach from Lille and unlimited budget. If they wanted him he would have been PSG player already, especially when his price is only €10 -€15 mil

      1. Exactly. Sanches doesn’t seem to get the clue. PSG would have bought him already if they thought he’d be useful. Well… He wouldn’t be the first one to dismiss Milan for watching others play in PSG, eh? 🙂 Who cares about those guys?

  1. exactly, we want players that want Milan and not be forced as last option. Give me another Krunic, I’d take it anytime at this point.

  2. Mendes is just using PSG to get more in Sanches pocket. I can see that Sanches will come to Milan in the end. But they are just trying to upsale themselves. PSG has quite a bit of midfielders and their goal is Champions league. If PSG wanted then they would got him already.

  3. He keeps on choosing other clubs over Milan , it’s about time Milan stop following his suit ,he’s not the only player that can replace Kessie.
