Ruben Loftus-Cheek is now officially an AC Milan player and Fikayo Tomori played a part in convincing him, according to a report.
The deal to sign Loftus-Cheek was confirmed by Milan with a statement on the official website. It mentioned that the 27-year-old has signed a contract which will run until June 2027 and he will be the first paid-for signing of the summer after Marco Sportiello joined on a free.
As Calciomercato.com reports, Tomori and Loftus-Cheek are old friends given that the the two have known each other since their days in the Chelsea youth sector. With the U19 side they won the Youth League in 2015 and then also found themselves in the first team.
The two Englishman will now meet at Milan and Tomori also played a part in the negotiation that brought Loftus-Cheek to the Rossoneri, having spoken to his friend in recent days and advised him before the move.
