CM: Roma begin contacts with Raiola over possibility of signing Milan midfielder

By Oliver Fisher -

Roma have initiated talks with Mino Raiola over the possibility of signing AC Milan midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura, a report claims.

Having joined Milan from Atalanta back in 2014, Bonaventura has been one of the most consistent performers through a difficult past half decade, yet as mentioned there is nothing to suggest he will be given a new deal by his boyhood club.

Recently, Calciomercato.com reported that Lazio are already planning for a 2020-21 season in which they will be back in the Champions League and that Bonaventura is a target for them, but also that Gennaro Gattuso wishes to bring the 30-year-old to Napoli.

According to the latest from the same outlet, Roma are looking at Bonaventura as a possible reinforcement in view of the next season.

The outlet goes on to claim that contacts with his agent Raiola started last month, suggesting that competition for his signature is intense, while of course the possibility of renewing at Milan is far from excluded at this stage.
