It was revealed by Gianluca Di Marzio on Saturday that Leone has ended up in the scouting notebook of a number of big clubs. In Italy, Milan and Juve are monitoring the player, in addition to Wolfsburg in Germany.

Sampdoria signed the 15-year-old on a free from Catania one year ago, and he then shined in the UEFA Algarve Tournament, scoring two goals in three games for Italy.

According to the latest update from Calciomercato.com, Sampdoria are aware of the interest from big clubs in their prized young talent and are not laying down.

Their goal in fact is to make Leone sign his first contract as a professional as early as next March, at the age of sixteen. Leone’s agent, Virzì, has excellent relations with Corte Lambruschini and there should be no problems in this regard.

However, the negotiation is still to be worked out, and if an agreement is not reached then Leone could also consider the idea of a transfer.
