CM: Szczesny set for new deal but Juventus continue to dream of Donnarumma

By Oliver Fisher -

Juventus could sell Wojciech Szczesny and are ‘dreaming’ of AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma as his replacement, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, everything is agreed for Szczesny’s renewal at Juve, which will see the Pole extend his contract until June 2024 with a net salary of €7m per season.

However, his renewal does not mean non-transferability. Instead, the Bianconeri still consider their number one to be sellable for the right offer, as their previous market business has shown (Leonardo Bonucci’s departure being a good example).

The name that Juve dreams and does not give up is that of Gianluigi Donnarumma. His deal with the Rossoneri expires in 2021, though it already seems an uphill road given the fact Milan are reportedly not planning on increasing his €6m-a-year salary.

Juventus are observing the situation closely and have discussed Donnarumma with agent Mino Raiola. In the summer, negotiations may become more concrete.
