CM: The two clubs Theo Hernandez rejected to seal summer Milan move

By Oliver Fisher -

Theo Hernandez rejected the advances of two other clubs in the summer window in order to seal a move to AC Milan, a report claims.

Hernandez has been one of the major bright spots in an otherwise disappointing season so far for the Rossoneri as he has seized the left-back spot from Ricardo Rodriguez.

The Frenchman is even Milan’s joint-top scorer this campaign so far having netted three times in Serie A, level with Krzysztof Piatek who has scored two penalties.

His most recent goal was one of the most important of the season too; the 22-year-old bagged an 88th minute winner at Parma on Sunday, reacting quickest inside the area and finishing like a striker.

According to Calciomercato.com, it could have been much different for Hernandez. The report claims that both Napoli and Bayer Leverkusen were keen on the idea of signing the former Alaves loanee, however he chose to move to Milan instead.

Hernandez revealed his delight at being a Milan player after the game, and has previously stated how important Paolo Maldini was in his decision.
