When looking at other top players in that position like Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool, this year they have two goals each this season.
This year Theo Hernandez has slightly lowered his attacking output (5 goals and 10 assists) compared to the 2020-21 season which ended with 8 goals and 8 assists, but his defensive performances have grown.
The number of tackles made has increased in number and to 60% success rate, while the number of duels won has risen to 63%. His positioning, the timing of his interventions and other intangible statistics have also grown too, meaning the former Real Madrid man is now fundamental in both phases.
