Junior Messias of AC Milan

CM: Two Serie A sides want Milan winger but there are two obstacles

Junior Messias is one of the players who will arrive at Milanello for the start of preseason today but he might have to keep his suitcase packed, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan have made the decision to try and sell Messias before the summer transfer window ends because he is not considered a part of the project nor a part of Stefano Pioli’s plans for 2023-24.

Torino have expressed an interest in signing the Brazilian and attempted to start negotiations but were put off by two things: Giorgio Furlani’s request for €7-8m as a transfer fee, plus resistance from the player himself.

The report adds that Messias would like to stay with the Rossoneri and complete his contract expiring in 2024. It seems he is not convinced by the idea of joining Torino at present, while Bologna are also interested too, but both will have to persuade him to leave.

  1. Two outcasts play hard, Origi and Messias, resisting to move out. Other might join them. I wanna see how Furlani in the end deals with this issue.

  2. This is what you get from activate buy option old player like junior messias & florenzi . Rebic & origi will follow them , collecting big paycheck sitting on bench reject all offer . Better stop signing old player that not have big name

  3. I wonder what Maldini was thinking when he signed Origi, Messias, Charles, Pobegba…even decided to extend Salamakers contract…lol then he brought in Vranicx…gave Ibrahimovic contract extension of 1 year(which he played just few matches)…what a waste of funds…no wonder they sacked him

    1. Vranckx, Saele and CdK were all Moncada’s recommendations, you have an article on this here. Pobega is our youth product.

    2. Messias was pretty cheap and scored a good amount of goals. In terms of bang for buck he is not a bad transfer, not starting material either obviously.

Pobega is our youthplayer, didn‘t cost anything, can go on all lists and did more than CDK, Vranckx and Origi combined.

  4. We speak about the hate on Origi in the other article. The same applies here. The hate on Messias is also strong. He’s our third highest goal contributor in the past two seasons for the forward line yet gets alot of hate. I don’t like how he plays or his style either but I alo cannot deny how much he has contributed to the team.

    1. And if they are not in the coaches plan, Pioli should grow a pair and just tell them none of them are in his plans this season. It should end teh story. Pioli keeps giving them hope that he will use them. why would they leave? He brought them all to friendlies. WHY?

I guarantee you, We will see Messias in the starting 11 no matter who we sign as a RW. Our coach is Pioli. Hope we get Nagelsman next season.

  5. Drop the asking price so Torino can improve terms.

You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

The priority is getting the players out to free up squad numbers and salary.

Transfer fees for players you don’t want or trust are a bonus

  6. What a mess we are with moncada and furlani …. everybody mocks us and make us look as fools and clowns!!!

Moncada and furlani have not managed to offload not even one single player …. there are origi, ballo toure, messias, rebic, saelmakers, pobega, gabbia …. we were supposed to get 60 million euro from these players ….. what a sick joke!!!!

    1. So Maldini does good? He is the one in the first place to bring them here and collecting the deadwoods while he let the gems go for free

    2. Maldini did a lot of good work but he absolutely sucked at selling

Also it doesn‘t really make sense to sell Gabbia or Pobega at this point unless a great offer arrives.
