CM: The truth about Milan’s renewed interest in Porto striker Taremi

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are looking for a striker on the market as Lorenzo Colombo is pushing for his loan move to Monza. In the last few days, Mehdi Taremi has been mentioned as an option again and there is some truth to it, a report claims.

Milan and Monza have an agreement for the loan move of Colombo, who spent last season on loan at Lecce. The youngster would like another loan as he would get more playing time, but the Rossoneri have not sanctioned the move yet.

According to Calciomercato.com, they are looking to sign a replacement first but the roads leading to Hugo Ekitike and Armando Broja are very difficult. In the last few days, Milan reignited talks with Porto over Taremi to understand if a discount can be made on the €25-30m request.

However, the Portuguese side don’t seem willing to grant any big discounts and the only way for Milan would thus be a loan with an option to buy. Alternatively, a permanent deal worth around €10-15m. The interest is there but the operation remains difficult, in other words.

  1. Youssef En-Nesyri would be another option with only 26y, he has still to give. He is a monster for aerial duels. I honestly think that he would be the best playing as target striker. His game would accommodate the style of milan formation now and the style of the players we have. His value is at 20M, but with a good negotiation and maybe with an exchange option this could be a easier deal to reach.

  2. How would you loan a dude whos contract runs out in 2024?
And why do they think they can get 25-30M for him?
    ridiculous
