CM: Quality and versatility – why Milan want Kamada with verbal agreement reached

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have an agreement in principle with Daichi Kamada over a multi-year contract, a report claims, and now they must decide whether to close the deal.

According to Calciomercato.com, it is Ricky Massara who has been leading the charge for Kamarda and has already reached an agreement in principle with his entourage over a contract worth €3m net per season.

Kamada’s last three seasons at Eintracht Frankfurt have been extraordinary as he has amassed 29 goals and 23 assists having become their starting attacking midfielder.

Milan like him because he can play as a central attacking midfielder, a box-to-box midfielder or as a left winger, with his most natural position being in the No.10 role where there are doubts about Brahim Diaz and Charles De Ketelaere.

Kamada has already expressed his clear desire to join Milan and the Rossoneri represent his preferred destination for next season, so the time for choices will come in a few days.

The Japanese international – who will turn 27 years old on 5 August – is also attracting interest from Benfica and Borussia Dortmund, while Atletico Madrid have made concrete moves. Now the ball passes to Massara to complete a negotiation started in February.
