CM.it: Milan and Juventus keen on signing Napoli midfielder on a free

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Juventus battled on the pitch on Sunday and they could well duel off the field for Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by Calciomercato.it, Milan could begin to carefully follow the situation of Zielinski. The Polish midfielder – who by now is a Napoli veteran – is out of contract at the end of the season and is a very attractive potential target for the top clubs in Serie A.

In addition to Milan’s interest, Juventus must be included among the interested parties. With Cristiano Giuntoli at the helm as sporting director having moved from Napoli to Juve in the summer, it is no surprise to learn they might be keen given he knows Zielinski’s value very well.

Juve have had problems in midfield given Paul Pogba’s injury issues and and Nicolò Fagioli’s ban, so it cannot be ruled out that they enter into negotiations as early as January to try and get Zielinski first.

However, the Bianconeri and Rossoneri face an obstacle: Zielinski’s aim at present is to renew with Napoli and it could still yet materialise. The 29-year-old has 50 goals and 46 assists in 341 games for the Neapolitans across all competitions.
