CM: Colombo’s goals send a message to Milan – the Rossoneri’s plan for his future

Lorenzo Colombo’s knack for scoring important goals for Lecce continued last night as he netted to seal a draw for the Giallorossi last night away against Udinese.

Calciomercato.com report how it was Colombo’s third goal for Lecce since he joined them on a season-long loan that has an option to buy in favour of the Apulian side and a buy-back in the Rossoneri’s favour. That allowed them to beat the competition from Empoli, Cagliari and other clubs that were interested.

Maldini and Massara have faith in the Colombo’s potential as per the report and they are convinced he can grow further, which is why after scoring 7 goals with SPAL in Serie B last season they decided to send him out to a Serie A side.

At the end of the season, the Rossoneri will wait for Lecce to make a move and then eventually evaluate whether to regain control of the 20-year-old. If they did, it is likely he would be sent on loan again to guarantee him constant growth and continuity of performance.
