That’s a HUGE win for Milan! The first half was truly very poor and if it hadn’t been for Maignan, they would have conceded more than just the one goal. However, the penalty brought them back into the game and Rabiot showcased his brilliance in the second half. DAI!

The Frenchman receives the ball on the edge of the box and instead of trying to run down the clock, he tries his luck with a left-footed effort! Great decision as he beats the goalkeeper to secure the three points.

Nervous ending expected. Como are pushing and pushing, Milan are (so far) defending pretty well.
Pretty good chance for Loftus-Cheek there but it was a difficult header, since it took a deflection just before.
It’s clear that Milan are sitting back with everyone to defend now, hoping to cause issues for Como on the counter instead.

Paz hits the crossbar for Como with a stunning effort. That was swerving and left Maignan with no chance.
That’s a counter-attack! Leao does brilliantly to set up Rabiot, who brings it down perfectly and fires a great shot past the keeper. The Frenchman is showing just how important he is once again.

Maignan with another very good stop, this time on Paz who fires a very good shot towards the bottom right corner.
45 minutes to go for Milan, who will need to do a whole lot better than they did in the first half, otherwise this will likely end in defeat.

It wouldn’t be unfair to say that Como outplayed Milan for large parts of the first half, creating some very good chances too, but the foul on Rabiot brought the Rossoneri back into the game. Nkunku got a but lucky with the penalty, but at least it went in.

Phew! The goalkeeper got a touch on the ball and nearly saved that one, but it goes in under him.

Rabiot brought down in the box after a great pass by Saelemaekers, but the Como players are asking for a foul by the Belgian before. Possibly a foul indeed.
Maignan somehow keeps out a header from close range!
Even if Como haven’t created loads, it’s clear that Milan are struggling. Fabregas’ men are just so comfortable in possession, not to mention in the pressing phase.
Maignan makes a very good save to deny Paz. That looked like a certain goal for a second there.
Fofana does well to battle against the defender, winning possession, but the shot isn’t anywhere near good enough afterwards (he lost his balance a bit).
Da Cunha with a good chance for Como, but he fails to hit the target. The Rossoneri need to wake up.
It had been a pretty calm start to the game before the goal, with the teams exchanging possession, so it’s certainly not ideal to have conceded that one. Big blow.
First real chance of the game and Kemp scores the opener for the home side. It’s similar to the goal conceded against Fiorentina in the sense that the defending could have been a lot better on that set-piece, both from Bartesaghi and Fofana.

like I said a while back Allegris tactics are fine as long as we win (or not lose). Which is true for anything, but Allegri ball is so infuriating that when it does not work it really amplifies how angry I get watching this team. I love them… but it is infuriating.

It’s the old story. I believe that a majority of the goals we concede come from crosses over the small box. Maignan fails to punch it out; some defender loses track of his man, and the opponent heads it in.
And then, the managers and the head coach seem to believe we don’t need to hire an experienced defender to organize the sector and prevent these errors, in this winter market.
This won’t finish well, as the opponents are reinforcing themselves in January, and we seem to have stopped at hiring Füllkrug; nobody for the defense.
Allegri doesn’t seem the type to speak out loud against his players and managers. As for the management, as long as we’re 4th or above, they don’t care.
For God’s sake stop with this stupid formation!!! We play the most boring football, everyone looks clueless
I stopped watching the game. I have better things to do than watching milan play some boring football. They play slow and always backwards to the defenders. Como is playing some good football. They have players that can play football.

That one moment did come; brilliant action by Saelemaekers robbing the ball from the opponent cleanly, then sending a perfect through pass to Rabiot who entered the box powerfully, earning a PK which Nkunku buried; the goalie did touch it but the shot was powerful so it still went in. 1-1. Kind of unfair, against the run of play, but it’s tied now; let’s hope that Milan will play better in the second half, which is often the case, this season.

Thought Saelemakers fouled the guy on the build up, then Nkunku got very lucky in his PK. Lucky its 1-1. Milan looked horrible.
The thing is, Nkunku’s shot was very powerful. Sometimes even if you don’t place the shot very well, if it is powerful, it goes in anyway, and that’s what we saw. Let’s not cancel Nkunku’s merit there.
But yes, the goal was against the run of play; Como dominated the entire first half; we’re lucky to be tied, right now. Mike Maignan did fail in their goal but then made 4 good saves and kept us in the goal; Alexis, Rabiot and Nkunku combined to achieve a goal.

I hope we take control in the second half now…. Horrible to watch Milan play at the moment. So far obviously maignan is keeping us in it. But fofana is giving his all for the team. He has a rubbish shot mind. But saving us at the back a few times too. Rabiot and salad maker ain’t bad too. But yeah fofana doing alright.
While Mike Maignan was partially at fault in their goal (for not coming out to interrupt the cross), he’s had 5 good saves by now, two of them being very good. He’s been keeping us in the game. I hope his companions respond.

What the hell is Fofana doing??? As usual, he helps the opponents WAY more than he helps Milan. To the point that two different posters here have suspected him of betting against Milan. I don’t think he’s betting against us, but that’s a demonstration of how bad he’s been.
He recovered a ball, then crossed it to nobody… not a single Milan player in the vicinity of where he sent the ball. The attack before this one, Tomori and Alexis worked hard to make something happen, but then Alexis committed the mistake of passing to Fofana, who immediately lost the ball.
Thank God Fofana is out.

Call me crazy but over the last three games, esp at the san siro and tonight, our players keep slipping at the most in opportune moments, more so Rafa and Fofana. Now Leao is off and I wonder if his knock might’ve been aggravated specifically by his slipping awkwardly. Wet pitch, bad boots..whatever it is should be looked into. Too many misses, turnovers and wasted attacks as a result. Plus every time someone goes down there’s always a chance of a muscle injury or strain.
Never underestimate Allegri-ball, even if the game appears hopeless.
Such a boring game from Milan’s perspective. If they hold on it’ll be the luckiest win I’ve seen from them. Como has mostly dominated them.

…not 10, just observant enough to have seen that Allegri’s tactical changes midgame in the first half brought with it the first goal, and from there it was just a masterclass in tactical awareness from the gaffer, I give him a 8 for this one
1st defeat to Como at home this season, right?
