AC Milan head coach Sergio Conceicao has claimed responsibility for what he deemed to be a bad opening 25 minutes against Fiorentina, eventually ending in a 2-2 draw.
As they so often have since the Portuguese took charge, Milan dug themselves a massive hole in the first half. A Malick Thiaw own-goal gave the away team the perfect start, one which got even better when Moise Kean volleyed home a second from close range.

Yet, continuing another theme from Conceicao’s fourth-month tenure, the Rossoneri got back up off the canvas when they seemed down. Tammy Abraham halved the deficit with his second goal in two games, then Luka Jovic levelled in the second half.
Either team could have won it in a wide open conclusion but in the end had to settle for a 2-2 draw. Conceicao spoke to Sky and DAZN after the full-time whistle to give his thoughts, which were transcribed by MilanNews24.

“There are some individual mistakes but not only in defence. There are some behaviours that we are trying to improve, that we are working on. There was a goal like that in Naples too.
“Up front we also waste too many opportunities. The first 20-25 minutes did not go as we wanted, but the person responsible is me, as I am the coach.”

“This is the third game in six days and the team gave me a signal. Against Inter for 90 minutes and more we were balanced. Quality is a set of characteristics that players must have, you also need the right personality to enter the game.”
You brought Musah off in the first half…
“He did very well in training, there was no reason not to play. I understood later that he wasn’t in the game, but it happens, there are games that go like this.”
How do you judge Theo’s performance?
“At an offensive level, we all recognise his great qualities, he manages to create difficulties for the opponents. Like all full-backs, with a five-man defence he would be more protected. Against Inter, for example, we had a fifth man who defended.”

Musah should not start another game this season.
Agreed. My bet is this was his final start for us. As an American who has pulled for Musah to do well, it’s hard to say it, but it’s the plain truth: he’s made far too many mistakes to be given another start. Even stints off the bench should be only in emergencies. He should be loaned out next year, maybe to a Bundesliga club, to see if a change of scenery improves his tactical awareness and end product in the final third.
Musah should not start another game in Milan. Period. We’ve seen his “potential” some people here keep praising. He’s not worth the shirt and never will be.
Thiaw shouldn’t start another game again.

2. Against the Florence, he make an own goal and he late to make offside entrapment before fiorentina 2nd goal.

Rhea did you even watched the game, how can you blame Thiaw for that goal he tried to clear the ball off the goal line, you should put the blame on Musah for dropping the ball off in no man’s land for the opposing player to go to goal and score.

I watch coppa Italia Milan V inter. Thiaw makes several basic mistake that defender shouldn’t do it. Thanks to super save from Maignan. Just look the Milan future, move on from thiaw. Just sell it to bundesliga while his contract expire 2027.

Theo always looks uninterested to defender , have been watching him for a long while , that eagerness to defend he doesn’t close space allow cross , theo of way back wouldn’t. I hope his not betting cause after the camera man showed him and dodo talking after the card , dodo scored thank God he was offline just off

How many times do we need to see Musah messed up and started again next few games just because he had a great training season? The manager should know better that there are type of players who do great at trainings but can’t pull the same kind of performance in real matches.
And on the other side there are players who just lack in trainings but perform in real matches. R9 and Ronaldinho for instance.
We have had so many mediocre midfielders. The difference with Musah is he never has those moments that justify his presence.
Florenzi, Nocerino, Emanualson, Bertolacci, Montolivo, just to name a few examples. These guys have their moments where they justify their spot. Not Musah. Musah has no business playing at the level of AC Milan.
Now we can se how many changes is needed… We need definitely sell Musah, he is weak for Seria A, same with Chukwueze, we need to buy another striker because Tammy is just loan player.
Walker has massive start , but he is also lost and 3 games in row his rating is 4-4,5… same with Tomori and Thiaw, if someone want to buy one of them, 30m€ is enough. We need new motivated players , more then half of this team has mind in new club..
Together 6-8 players we need sell. There are others like Royal, RLC or Fofana who has also great start and now he makes to many errors…
What you guys fail to see is that the coach is the problem in this team. It was obvious that chukwu should have started this game but yet left him on the bench. Once gimenez is back from suspension he will still field him ahead of chukwu. This is not right, let everyone have a equal opportunity then we can access them properly
Half of the team players are not worth playing for Milan. The entire management musu go when they buy players like Emerson Royal, Fofana, Walker and let players like Bennacer, Kalulu and Adli go. This Milan is a circus. I have followed the team since Gianni Rivera time…
Musah is just dumb ,i was talking that from the first match he played, he is dumb ,the dumbest player i have seen in milan for a long time ,i can uderstand that kids from this website didnt see it and were arguing with me about that,but i can’t understand how a coach didn’t see it ,how many mistakes he need to make for you to understand that he is dumb,you can’t fix low intelligence and stupitidy,every choise be make on field is obviously dumb,he can run,drible but no brain
