Sergio Conceicao will make a number of changes to the AC Milan team and the way it works, and this is not just on the pitch.
With a trophy in his first week, there is clearly something about the new Milan head coach and players are already giving him more than they arguably did for Paulo Fonseca. Whether it be due to respect or details, there is a clear notion that something is different.
Theo Hernandez returned to his best and Rafael Leao’s post-match interview was much more positive than we have seen in recent months, with the winger often stating he did not understand the Portuguese’s tactics.
With the squad back in Italy, more is coming out about the head coach’s implementations, and a report this afternoon showed how much the coach focuses on the details of each of his players, but there is another side to him, a family aspect.
As Sky reports (via Milan News), the new coach will demand that the Rossoneri sleep at Milanello on the night before matches. In addition to this, the final training session will take place at San Siro, rather than Milanello. Small changes, but changes that can make vast differences.
I like this guy more and more.
With you 100% Luigi!
Leao didn’t say he didn’t understand Fonseca’s tactics.
He said he didn’t like sitting on the bench.
The one who said he didn’t understand Fonseca was Musah.
He never said that either. He said he didn’t know whether to press or stay behind after the Parma game which took place in the second round. He never said he “doesn’t understand Fonseca’s tactics”. If anything, he was our most tactically disciplined player in our most difficult game against Real.
It’s the same thing. I did not recall Musah’s exact words and I’ll take your word for it, but if you say, after all the game preparation the coach leads, that you don’t know what to do, if you press or you stay behind, that means you’re not understanding what the coach wants from you, which is bad. I bet that other players were confused too. Musah was just naive enough to express it in a press conference; others, more experienced, know better that you shouldn’t publicly say those things, but the fact is that Milan was very disorganized on the pitch under Fonseca, which smells of tactical confusion, in most games. Sure, not all games, after all we beat Inter and Real, but two good games out of 20 are not enough. You can’t be successful if you play well once out of ten games.
Yea,Leao dnt need to say that, nobody understand his tactics….
By the end not even Fonseca understood his own tactics
HAHAHA cracked me up Kayson
Funny guy @Kayson. I’m still sad for Fosenca Tbh.
