AC Milan will soon sit down with Sergio Conceicao and inform him of their desire to terminate his contract, according to a report.
It has not been a very well-kept secret that Conceicao and Milan would part company after just six months together. As results on the field initially failed to improve from the Paulo Fonseca era but then picked up, we broke the news that the Portuguese was thinking of walking away regardless.

Conceicao and Milan to meet
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), Conceiçao will return from Portugal in the next few hours and together with the club he will set up an appointment for a face-to-face meeting.
The contract between the Rossoneri and the coach expires in the summer of 2026, but with the possibility – for both parties – to free themselves from the agreement twelve months in advance. It is an option that the club will use, to then start a new course.
Sergio – who promised to tell his side of the story – would probably have activated the exit clause too. He he is tired and worn out after a season lived with many difficulties and always exposed on the front line.
He never took a step back, except for necessity, like in the last game at San Siro when he was forced to watch the victory over Monza from the skybox given that he had to serve a one-game suspension.
He will thus return to being the master of his own destiny: he will be able to evaluate the alternative proposals that will arrive, perhaps more suited to his style of play based on intensity and competitive nastiness.
The meeting with the club could be scheduled even before the weekend, especially amid the rumours that Massimiliano Allegri is on the verge of being named as his replacement.

here is a question i ponder a lot myself. It’s evident we want it all, attacking, beautiful offensive futbol, with youngsters and winning. While not the right choice, Fonseca was a bet on offense and attack. Would you take an Allegri type of coach, if you KNEW, he will get us to the UCL, and maybe win a Scudetto? Even if it means boring defensive 1-0 wins along the way? OR have a (for an example) Arteta at Arsenal, playing free flow futbol but ending up trophy less? …. I am honestly torn about it. I want them both but if i had to choose, i rather have silverware.
Results over style any time, but particularly if we can bring on some of the young players we’ve been failing in the last few years.
Arteta over the last couple of years has been quite defensive minded IMO, they’re a team whose biggest strengths recently have been immense centre-halfs, good covering, systems based approach and set pieces.

U don’t understand people nowadays. They don’t know what they really want. With Allegri, we almost win 2 scudettos if it weren’t for the disallowed goal against Udinese. Then he went to Juve and won 5 Serie A trophies in a row, 5 coppa Italian, and 2 UEFA finals lost to Real and Liverpool.
You still want Mialn to gamble on Italiano or Motta, or else with no proven records?
I’d rather go with a proven coach like Allegri 10 000 times.
Mourinho, Cappelo, Anceloti don’t play beautiful football like you all want to make people believe but they are called great coaches because of one thing: winning trophies
