Yesterday’s meeting between the AC Milan executives and Rafael Leao’s lawyer was the first of a series of discussions that will take place, a report claims.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes how Leao’s lawyer Ted Dimvula was present at Casa Milan for what was the first but will not be the last meeting regarding the renewal of the Portuguese forward.

A number of summits will be staged in the coming weeks with the goal of extending Leao’s terms with the Rossoneri, given that his current contract expires in 2024. However, it is a rather complex affair because in addition to the French lawyer there is Leao’s father and his agent Jorge Mendes involved in talks.
Not only that, but there is the compensation of almost €20m owed to Sporting CP over the termination of his contract. An important effort will be needed on the part of Milan who want to secure their most impactful player, so much so that they are willing to present him with an exceptional offer, never made before for any other squad member.
The paper claims that there is still a certain degree of confidence that in the end an agreement will be reached, because the player is happy at Milan and is growing at Milanello every day. However, there are a lot of different aspects to clear up before everyone is satisfied.
