AC Milan have no intention of repeating a mistake they made in the past and that is why they remain determined to keep Sandro Tonali, a report claims.
After a bright start in which he became a fan favourite, Locatelli fell down the pecking order and it very quickly became apparently that he had a market in Serie A, so Milan suggested he went out on loan. The player, however, asked for a transfer and joined Sassuolo on loan with an obligation to buy.
According to Il Corriere di Brescia (via MilanNews), Milan want to avoid making the same mistake twice that they did with Locatelli and for this reason they will sign Tonali permanently. For the moment, the definitive agreement with Massimo Cellino and Brescia has not yet been found, but the clubs continue to negotiate and eventually a shared formula will be reached, as is the will of all parties involved.

You better do the right thing guys
No guarantee that Locatelli would have developed this way if he’d stayed at Milan though – he’s going to have to get serious game time again next year, either at Milan or elsewhere.
To be honest I have not convinced by Locatelli
