CorFiorentino: €60m winger rejects Milan and Man Utd despite call – he seems Juventus bound

By Oliver Fisher -

Juventus are in advanced talks to secure the signature of Federico Chiesa from Fiorentina despite Milan’s attempts, a report claims.

The Rossoneri have been continuously linked with a move for Chiesa over the past few days and weeks as a possible ‘crowning jewel’ of the market, following the additions of Sandro Tonali, Brahim Diaz, Ciprian Tatarusanu and Jens Petter Hauge.

However, it has always been documented that they face competition from Juventus, a club always keen on stocking their ranks with young Italian talent where at all possible.

Today’s edition of Corriere Fiorentina (via MilanNews) offers a background regarding Federico Chiesa, who they claim is closing in on a move to the Bianconeri.

The paper states that Milan head coach Stefano Pioli called Chiesa to convince him to choose Milan, but the player replied that the discussions with Juventus are too advanced to go back, implying we can expect his move to be made official soon.

The same source also reported that the player wants to leave and will not sign a renewal, but also he does not want to move abroad and has rejected an offer from Manchester United, who put in a €50m bid.
