AC Milan have five finals between now and the end of the season to try and rescue a top four spot, starting with tonight against Benevento.
As il Corriere della Sera writes (via MilanNews), Stefano Pioli said it well in his pre-match press conference: the match against Juventus will only turn into a “final” if Milan manage to beat Benevento. So head to tonight’s challenge – the first of the five crossroads games – will set the tone.
After two hammer blows against Sassuolo and Lazio, Milan will try to raise their heads against the team coached by club icon Pippo Inzaghi. The Rossoneri’s calendar is probably the worst among the clubs fighting for a place in the Champions League because after Benevento tonight there is the trip to Juventus, then relegation battlers Torino and Cagliari and, finally, the play-off with Atalanta in Bergamo.
During the week, both Pioli and Maldini reiterated that the team must give their all, but also Ibrahimovic, ready to drag his team onto the field. Milan must return to what they were three months ago, because time is running out.
