There is no longer the same optimism among the AC Milan management regarding the renewal of Hakan Calhanoglu, according to a report.
As reported this morning by il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), negotiations between the two parties are continuing to try and find an agreement, but the feeling at the moment is that they are not close.
There is still a big difference between offer and demand, as the Rossoneri are happy to increase the salary of Calhanoglu – who currently earns €2.5million per season – but they do not intend to satisfy his request of €6m per year.
Meanwhile, his agent is offering him to various clubs because he does not want to be caught unprepared if an agreement is not found with Milan.
Among the teams interested in the Turkey international include rivals Juventus and LaLiga giants Atletico Madrid. For now the parties continue to negotiate, but one thing is clear: the Rossoneri will use Calhanoglu until the last day of his contract and will not sell him in January.
