CorSera: €35m Milan star would leave if signing is sealed amid Everton, Chelsea links

By Oliver Fisher -

Krzysztof Piatek is likely to leave AC Milan in the January transfer window if Zlatan Ibrahimovic completes a return to the club, a report claims.

Ibrahimovic is Milan’s main target for the January transfer window, as owners Elliott Management have acknowledged the need to add firepower, leadership and experience in one swoop.

A return doesn’t seem impossible either, as SportMediaset (via MilanNews.it) recently stated that Milan are closing in on satisfying his requests, while il Corriere della Sera reported that the dream is to present Zlatan on December 15 at the club’s 120th birthday event.

According to Sunday’s edition of newspaper il Corriere della Sera – as cited by Calciomercato.com – Ibrahimovic’s arrival would mean that Piatek is ‘destined’ to leave in the upcoming window.

The Poland international has scored just once from open play all season, and Claudio Raimondi recently told SportMediaset (via MilanNews.it) that Everton or Chelsea is his most likely destination.

Piatek joined Milan from Genoa in the January window for €35m (as per the Guardian) after he scored 12 goals before Christmas for the Rossoblu following his arrival from Poland.
