SM: Ibrahimovic wants Milan return after Boban talks – the remaining obstacles

By Vito Angele -

As anticipated about a month ago by SempereMilan.com, AC Milan are serious about the idea of re-signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Here’s the latest from our mercato correspondent Vito Angele…

FROM BOBAN’S CALL TO THE MEETING WITH RAIOLA

In the past few days, we have entered the crucial phase of the negotiation with Boban’s call to Ibra, during which Zlatan was very enthusiastic and in a certain sense also impressed by the call and the conviction of Milan to bring him back.

Mino Raiola met with Milan on Wednesday, and the first interviews have established a small gap between supply and demand, both from an economic and a contractual standpoint.

NEGOTIATION IS NOW LIVE

There have been new contacts in the last few hours between the two parties to certify the desire of Milan to complete the negotiation.

In the initial talks, Milan offered a six-month contract with the possibility of extending it to 18 months (it remains to be seen under what conditions), an option that Ibrahimovic would not mind, eager to earn a new contract with his performances on the field.

Zlatan obviously will not lower himself from the salary he received at the LA Galaxy, because the latter were willing to offer him a renewal to the same figures.

Milan have made an effort to Zlatan to Milan in December, so he can integrate immediately with the group. For the first time after so many years of rumours of a return, Milan are now serious about it.

ALL OTHER OFFERS STOPPED

For Ibrahimovic, at this moment, the priority is Milan. That’s why the Swede has decided to deal only with Milan for now.

Now the Diavolo will have to satisfy him, not only from the economic point of view, but also from the point of view of the project to come back from the start: Zlatan has asked for a team to aim for Europe, already in January.

Once all these aspects have been clarified, Zlatan will finally be able to return.
