CorSera: Hammarby in pole as Ibrahimovic decides to leave Milan – the reasons

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has made the decision to leave AC Milan once the current season ends, ending his spell at the club after just a few months.

That is according to what is being reported by il Corriere della Sera (via MilanLive) on Friday, who claim that the Swede’s ‘pride’ has made him develop his conviction to end his experience at Milan at the end of the season.

In fact, he is so sure that those close to him claim Ibrahimovic will not even intend to press the company to define the plans moving forward, and he will simply walk away when his deal expires.

After the farewell of Zvonimir Boban and after the words of Paolo Maldini on Ralf Rangnick the other day, Ibra’s future and that of the Diavolo look set to different directions.

His contract expires at the end of June, and so far CEO Ivan Gazidis has not proposed a renewal and Zlatan has not even expected it.

The last few months in Sweden with his family – who never joined him in Milan on this second adventure – seem to have clarified his ideas. Hammarby, a club in which it holds some shares, could be the ideal solution to end his extraordinary career. Even Mino Raiola, initially opposed, now seems to approve.
