CorSera: Ibrahimovic aiming for renewal until 2022 – the secrets of his success at Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has no intention of stopping just yet, and despite being 39 there is already talk of a potential renewal.

According to a report from il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), Ibrahimovic is not thinking about guiding Milan back to the top four and hanging up his boots, but on the contrary he is now aiming for a new deal with Milan until 2022.

The paper explains how his agent Mino Raiola is already at work on this particular front, although obviously a decision will only be taken next spring.

Saturday’s derby against Inter showed once again that age is just a number as he scored a match-winning brace to down city rivals Inter. He continues to show professionalism on and off the pitch, paying attention to the details by relying on his nutritionist.

The paper adds how those who see him every day at Milanello ensure that the Swede is among the first to arrive and three the last to leave.

In addition to the group training, he also does plenty of individual sessions in the gym including bodyweight exercises designed to extend the longevity of his already incredible career, and he hopes that career will go on at Milan.
