CorSera: Ibrahimovic’s return to action after injury could be delayed – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s return to action could be postponed as the medical staff are not keen on risking further injury, a report claims.

Ibrahimovic has missed the last four games for the Rossoneri after picking up a thigh problem during the 3-1 win over Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo late last month.

Although a number of reports have suggested that he is closing in on a return, il Corriere della Sera (via MilanLive) believe that the medical staff are in no mood to rush his recovery and would rather be cautious to prevent the risk of re-aggravating the problem.

The decisive check-up will take place on Friday and from that Ibrahimovic – together with the staff – will decide whether to return against Parma or to wait a few more days.

The paper adds how at the moment it is more likely that he will return for the match against Genoa on the following Wednesday, but the last word, as always, will go to the player himself.
