CorSera: Leao out for at least three games due to thigh problem but Rebic is raring to go

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s injury room was only free for a few days, as Rafael Leao will now take up a place in there after sustaining a problem while on international duty.

Leao was injured on Wednesday night while playing for the Portugal U21s as the young striker entered the field against the Netherlands at half-time but was forced to come off a few minutes before the end.

As reported this morning by il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), Leao underwent some tests on Thursday that revealed an injury to the hamstring of his right thigh.

In ten days, there will be a new medical consultation and therefore the Portuguese will be forced to miss Sunday night’s match against Napoli, but also the games against Lille (Europa League) and Fiorentina.

Winger Ante Rebic will take his spot, as he stayed at Milanello during the international break to improve his physical condition and is finally ready to return to the starting line-up.
