CorSera: Maldini and Massara set for three-year extensions – the mercato will then unlock

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are soon expected to officially announce the renewals of directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara following weeks of speculation, a report claims.

Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) writes how their contracts are expiring in ten days (at the end of June) but either today and/or tomorrow the negotiations for the extension of the duo will come to life.

The aim is to get pen on paper by the end of the week because it has already gone too long. Maldini and Massara have yet to find a decisive agreement with RedBird Capital on their operation margins but the talks should help to iron out the issues and a three-year contract is ready for both.

Without their renewal Milan’s summer transfer market cannot take off and as the days go buy some targets are beginning to fade as Paris Saint-Germain are after Renato Sanches and have surpassed Milan’s bid while Charles De Ketelaere of Club Brugge also has plenty of admirers.
