CorSera: Maldini and Milan ‘will do almost everything’ to convince Donnarumma to sign

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are willing to give Gianluigi Donnarumma a pay rise in order to convince him to stay at the club, according to a report.

Hakan Calhanoglu and Gianluigi Donnarumma are both under contract until June, and then they will be free to sign with other clubs. Both are technically within their rights to sign a pre-contract now too, with means that it is necessary to turn negotiations into signatures to put the minds of the fanbase at ease.

The club continues to maintain the official stance – as revealed through recent interviews with Maldini and Gazidis plus the comments of Pioli – that they are confident of agreeing new contracts with both players, but the saga continues to drag on.

According to the latest from il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), Paolo Maldini ‘will do almost everything’ to convince Donnarumma to sign. A salary increase from €6m net per season to €8m is already on the table, but his agent Mino Raiola continues to buy time. He is continuing to stall until Milan achieve qualification for the Champions placement.
