CorSera: Maldini, Massara meet with squad – their stance on Giampaolo

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Marco Giampaolo has the full support of the club’s hierarchy despite struggling so far this season, a report claims.

The Rossoneri headed into Saturday night’s Derby della Madonnina having won two of their opening three games to start the season, despite looking shaky in all of them.

That good start came undone at the hands of rivals Inter, who prevailed 2-0 at San Siro thanks to goals from Marcelo Brozovic and Romelu Lukaku.

According to a report from il Corriere della Sera on Monday (via MilanNews.it) Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara showed up at training on Sunday and held a ‘thorough but serene meeting’ with the squad, showing full support of Giampaolo’s vision.

However the results must now follow, and on Thursday the Rossoneri face a tough trip to Torino while on Sunday a rejuvenated Fiorentina side will arrive at San Siro.

The season has just begun, but Milan cannot afford to lose too many more points, or the gap will simply be too big to make up.
