AC Milan recovered from the disappointment of the two derby losses against Inter in an emphatic way as they beat Sampdoria 5-1 last night.
Today’s edition of Corriere della Sera (via PianetaMilan) talks about last night’s game and how the San Siro crowd encouraged both the team and Stefano Pioli, winning a game that was the easiest fixture left on paper but pulling within one point of Lazio and two of Inter, who are yet to play in this round.

The scenes at the end of the game saw the Milan team celebrate in front of the Curva Sud, showing that the bond is still there and is very much strong. The Rossoneri must not stop in the last two games, first in Turin against Juventus and then at San Siro against Verona.
The mission is to hunt down a Champions League spot which would make this season less bitter. Milan reached the semi-final of the Champions League, losing against Inter, but aside from that they have struggled domestically.
The victory against Sampdoria was needed, but the Rossoneri will also need to win the other two to keep alive hopes of sneaking into fourth place. More will be needed ahead of a big summer.
