CorSera: Milan begin pushing for renewal as Donnarumma wants to stay – the draft contract

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking to accelerate talks with agent Mino Raiola and secure the renewal of Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to a report.

The absence of Donnarumma was felt against Roma as his replacement Tatarusanu made a big error for Dzeko’s equaliser to make it 1-1 and also spilled a few shots that meant he never his team-mates security.

According to il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), talks between the Milan management and Raiola over Donnarumma’s renewal started some time ago, but no significant progress has been made for the moment.

The Italy international’s will is known to everyone as he wants to extend his contract and remain with the Rossoneri, but it will still take some time to reach an agreement. Paolo Maldini declared publicly before the Roma game that the club will everything to extend his contract because the young goalkeeper is now an absolute leader.

The Covid-19 crisis makes everything difficult and also means that most clubs will not be able to offer any player around €10m net, so Maldini and Massara are working on a draft contract based on a fixed amount of €6m, to which significant bonuses will then be added.

Donnarumma wants to be able to play the first Champions League matches of his career with the Milan shirt, and he is eagerly awaiting updates.
