CorSera: Milan must accelerate to land De Ketelaere as competition from England grows

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan must act quickly if they want to secure some of their main transfer targets with competition rising, according to a report.

Reports have suggested that Milan are in danger of missing out on both Renato Sanches and Sven Botman as the Lille duo are being aggressively pursued by Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle United respectively, but they are not the only players long courted by the Rossoneri who they are at risk of missing out on.

According to Corriere della Sera (via Calciomercato.com), Milan will have to hurry up if they want to sign Charles De Ketelaere because he is looking for the leap to a team with aspirations of going far in the Champions League.

Not only that, but there is competition from Premier League clubs to deal with and they can afford to raise their bid from an economic point of view, which is another hurdle for the Rossoneri.

  1. Those English teams are not in the Champions League, are they?

I don’t mind losing Botman and Sanches, but at least sign CDK, attacking midfielder should be priority if Pioli still want to use 4-2-3-1.

    1. Exactly man, De Ketelaere is someone who is perfect considering the what we are lacking currently, not to mention he can even play in ST and RW, so even if Giroud and Origi aren’t in form we can play him up front

    1. I don’t think so, he doesn’t seem to be obsessed with the amount of money he’s collecting but just wants champions League football while the teams that currently are in interested are not in the UCL besides obviously us

      1. Yeah, but we need to offer enough money, they won’t sell for 30M if they get 40M offers. And Milan doesn’t have enough money for all the signings we need.

        1. Well… The issue is that there is no one to make the transfers. M&M are running out of contract in less than 2 weeks and without them, who’s running the show?

          1. And even while they do actually still have the contracts they still don’t know who’s running the show. No one seems to be able to say “Yes” to any transfers. Origi maybe, but the others? Waiting for a yes from someone. Who? And why?

          2. Yes, that is the issue for everything, but even if they were there a few reports said that Leicester offered 40M€, why would they even accept anything below that. Anyway, I’ve expected this and unfrotunately, it is looking even worse than I’ve expected. You don’t buy a club to let it run for 30 days of early market without solutions ready. And at the moment they are collecting money on fundraisers to even buy it, not thinking about investing. LOL

  2. It’s VERY interesting to wait and see what this team will look like at the end of mercato since they have alot of things going on. The Dream Team or the Same Team.

  3. LOL. And to think some people actually thought we could get CDK for only 30M….ya right. Try 45-50M. Been saying it all along we must be realistic. Such a player is pure fantasy with our owners who will NOT spend 45-50M on one player. Hell we haven’t even signed M&M yet and you think we will get CDK for an”discount”??? Why??? Lol. We are not getting CDK and certain my not for 30M lol. So Sad but unfortunately true. He has 2-3 years left on his deal here is no “discount” – let’s be realistic and focus on attainable players. Have no idea who those would be w Rebird considering Sanches and Botman may also be unrealistic targets now was well. Very disappointing thus far from Redbird.

    1. They have to focus on raising money at the fundraiser to buy the club with a smaller loan, I’d say that is their priority. Just let the club miss out on the most important 30 days, when the best deals are usually made.

  4. Acmilan will alway be a rumour club.it will be very difficult to win any trophy again.coz inter milan and juvantus are busy strengthing their team, whil acmilan still confused, coz there is no money to buy a better player. This season will be very difficult escape position seven in leaque.Acmilan, please wake up!
