Just as it seemed a week ago as though Milan were on the right track towards a fully fit squad once again, a medical emergency persists.
According to what is being reported by il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), the accident emergency remains at red alert for the Rossoneri. Six key players will be absent today in the match against Fiorentina, and the medical team are praying that the international break will allow some of them to recover.
The break will help Milan to recover at least Ante Rebic and Mario Mandzukic, who will not go join up with the Croatian national team. The latter was chosen in January as the right man to chase the Scudetto but so far he has practically not been seen (158 minutes in total). However, he will have the opportunity and time to try to redeem himself.
In terms of the other injured players, Davide Calabria, Alessio Romagnoli and Rafael Leao will miss out, as will Daniel Maldini.
