AC Milan are growing in confidence that they can secure the signing of winger Ante Rebic on a permanent deal, a report claims.
The Croatia international has been nothing short of sensational since the turn of the year, netting eight goals in his last nine Serie A games and nine in all competitions.
He is of course only on a loan deal until 2021 with no option to buy as things stand, but il Corriere della Sera are reporting that the Rossoneri are keen on making that move a permanent one sooner rather than later.
Rebic has the perfect identikit of Elliott’s vision and also Ralf Rangnick has told the club he is absolutely in favour of his purchase.
In the last few days there have already been initial contacts with his agent Fali Ramadani and some optimism is filtering, so much so that in the next few weeks CEO Ivan Gazidis could formulate the first offer.
The bid should be around €25-30million, but there is the knot of his salary to untie as the 26-year-old earns €3m net per season, while Elliott want that to go down to €2.5m but could make an exception.
