CorSera: Pulisic to miss Lecce games and international duty – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

Christian Pulisic will not be risked on Saturday against Lecce and he is expected to remain at Milanello during the upcoming international break too, according to a report.

In the 92nd minute of the win against PSG on Tuesday night, Pulisic was subbed off after suffering a knock and was replaced by Alessandro Florenzi. Yesterday it was confirmed the winger had an MRI scan which ruled out any muscular issues like a strain or a tear.

According to what is being reported by Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), Pulisic suffered a flexor contracture in the match against PSG which will also cause him to miss the game against Lecce at the weekend.

Not only that, but the former Chelsea man is not expected to depart for the CONCACAF Nations League quarter-final games which the United States will play against Trinidad and Tobago. Instead, he will return to the field after the international break.

  1. Good, he shouldn’t play against T&T for USA. It should be an easy victory anyway, better to prepare for next league match.

All the best for our Capt America 🙏

    1. Exactly. A minor knock that isn’t really an injury, but keeps Pulisic away from nonessential international duty in a nasty CONCACAF brawl, is the perfect result for Milan.

  2. Yes very good. Perfect result for Milan.
Let the boy rest. No need for unnecessary international duties that should be won easily without his input there.
