There is currently ‘tension’ surrounding AC Milan heading into this weekend’s Derby della Madonnina, according to a report.
This Saturday’s game between Milan and Inter is undoubtedly the biggest game of the season so far for both sides.
The Rossoneri have won two of their opening three games in Serie A so far, beating Brescia at home and Hellas Verona away to put memories of the opening day defeat to Udinese behind them
Their Nerazzurri neighbours meanwhile have won three of three; thrashing Lecce before edging past Cagliari and Udinese.
There are a number of issues surrounding Marco Giampaolo’s side at the moment, something which according to Wednesday’s edition of il Corriere della Sera – as cited by Calciomercato.com – has resulted in ‘tension’ surrounding the club.
Two in particular are mentioned: one being the struggles of Krzysztof Piatek, who got off the mark for the season in the win against Verona but has scored just one goal in his last 10 competitive games from open play.
The other issues include an ‘irritated Boban’ (no further explanation is offered on this) and the confrontation between Marco Giampaolo and Lucas Paqueta over the Brazilian’s Instagram post.
A win in the derby on Saturday could be a turning point both on and off the field…
