CorSport: Agreement with No.1 target and midfielder now on pole – latest on Milan’s market

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking to reinforce two key areas of their squad with two new purchases this month, according to a report.

According to il Corriere dello Sport this morning (via MilanLive), Milan want to strengthen their squad with at least two young players who are ready right away, and the name top of their wish list is Strasbourg centre-back Mohamed Simakan.

The parties continued to negotiate after the Rossoneri’s pursuit failed in the summer, and the management have the green light with the player, with whom there is a general agreement over a five-year contract.

Paolo Maldini and co. strongly hope to be able to close in the next few days but there is still distance between offer and demand, as there is a bid of €15m on the table, but the French club want €20m.

Meanwhile, for the midfield there is a new name that has jumped to pole position and that is Kouadio Koné of Toulouse, monitored for some time by the Milan scouts.

Attention must also be paid to the track that leads to Boubakary Soumare, who Lille could decide to sell for €20m.
